US superstar Matt Damon looked to be in good spirits on Saturday when he was spotted enjoying a stroll through Byron Bay,NSW with his wife Luciana and close friend Lauren Phillips.

The Jason Bourne star,53,looked effortlessly stylish in an unbuttoned patterned black dress shirt paired with a plain green T-shirt and beige pants.

The Massachusetts-born actor completed his slick look with white sneakers and accessorised with stylish aviator sunglasses and a brown baseball cap.

He completed his laid-back look with a salt-and-pepper five o'clock shadow beard. 

The actor beamed as he chatted to Luciana and Lauren while strolling down the street. 

The Hollywood heavyweight appeared to be in high spirits as he walked arm-in-arm with his vibrant wife,Luciana,48.

The couple were joined by their Aussie pals,Nova radio star Phillips,who looked chic in a colourful ensemble,and her entrepreneur fiancé,Paul O'Brien. 

Damon,who is currently in the country with Casey Affleck to promote their upcoming movie The Instigators,looked to be having the time of his life as he entered a local store to try on and buy some sunglasses.

'My kids love it because they force me to go on all those terrifying rides and,you know,their mum refuses to go,' Matt said.

'So I draw the short straw. They like watching me get whipped around on those things.'

The Ekka,formally known as the Royal Queensland Show is Queensland's annual agricultural show and it is held at the Brisbane Showgrounds.

Matt is dad to daughters Isabella,18,Gia,15,and Stella,13,with wife Luciana,48 - as well as daughter Alexia,25,from a previous relationship.
